Curriculum overview

This training investigates yogic and 12-step principles as a foundation for recovery and healing of all addictions and as a foundation to create a more just and equitable society that supports the health and well-being of everyone.

Through lectures, practice, breakout groups and group conversations, practice teaching, experiential exercises, and Y12SR meeting simulation, this training dives deep to:

  • Identify the symptoms of unresolved trauma and nervous system dysregulation.

  • Discover sustainable ways for self-regulation and ‘trigger’ management that support and enhance physical, mental, and spiritual health on an individual and collective level.

  • Explore yoga and somatic tools to support brain repatterning.

  • Distinguish the traps of projection, transference, countertransference, boundary violations, and spiritual bypass.

  • Develop a network of professionals, including trauma experts and others in the addiction and recovery field.
